How to carry on in times of uncertainty. Links to a few online courses - some are free by Becky

Strange, unsettling times we are in! I’m not about to start talking about what I call the ‘CCP Virus’ (otherwise known as the Coronavirus or Covid19) - as I expect everyone knows about it. It has been, for all of us, a tough few weeks and with no clear end in sight, many people we know are affected and it is really pushing us to our limits in every way. It brings out the worst and yet it is probably much healthier to remember it is also bringing out the best in us.

To be honest I nearly ended the subscription to Carry Forth Tradition, overwhelmed with ‘What’s the point’ floating in and out of my mind. Then just as I was about to, friends and family appeared out of nowhere, asking why it is so quiet, encouraging me to just keep going. So in a complete turnaround I decided to have a go at seeing if anyone else wanted to jump on board and three more people have! So you’ll be seeing more content. I’m managing the site, keeping it open and inclusive and as informal or as formal as people choose to be, I prefer to leave people to their own devices, I like trust and fostering a space for creativity. I’ve encouraged some bloggers to get their children involved, and it evoked an encouraging response.

So moral of the story, is keep going! Carry on and Keep Calm! Carry Forth Tradition!

It is apparent that lots of people, organisations, businesses etc.. are adapting as best as they can and we are seeing lots of online courses popping up and some are free, I’d be more than happy for anyone to add links to any more they may come across online in to the comments below.
