
Eddie
Eddie is a retired Hydrographic Surveyor from Aberdeen in Scotland, who worked in the port industry, charting the depths for safe navigation of vessels. Also former Chairman and Director of Zhen Shan Ren Arts (UK) working on exhibitions in the UK and across Europe.
He moved to Spain in 2015 for a few years and returned to Scotland in 2020, where he enjoys photography and art.
Eddie’s blogs feature photos and videos taken with Nikon and Sony cameras at slower pace to life in and around Stonehaven or wherever he travels hoping to be of interest to others.
“I like to capture anything as I walk along with an open heart and mind, be it the landscape, wildlife, birds or aspects of human nature or the moon above in the night sky. Each photo for me teaches me how I can do better or opens an idea of another theme to shoot. I hope the results will inspire others”.

Landscape and Nature around our home over Summer and Autumn
Visit to RSPB Fowlsheugh Nature Reserve. Although we were here at the off season so to speak with no nesting masses of seabirds, dramatic landscapes and a few pleasant surprises awaited us.
When the tide goes out various birds come to feed on the fish and crustaceans in the rockpools.

Spain to Scotland Move July 2020
Shot from our window as the carnaval passed on 3 March 2019. Lots of colour, variety and most of all happy smiling people. Traditions are there for a reason, perhaps to lift the spirit, create harmony in the community or preserve elements of our culture.
