Paula's Introduction

I’m Paula Wilson and I’m honoured to be part of Becky’s Carry Forth Tradition project. I’m a lone parent of twin boys who were born naturally on separate days in November 2007. We live in a large village in Cheshire in the Northwest UK.

My life has been tempered in such a way that I have been forced to strip down my life on a few occasions where I’ve had financial flow issues for various reasons and had to give up a lot of things. As it turns out a lot of these things were obviously not needed as most people will be finding out now in this very unique time in our lives with the global pandemic of the CCP Wuhan virus around us.

I had to literally look at everything that I needed: food; clothes; makeup; skincare and toiletries and find ways to make them myself. Literally. It was a lonely and isolating experience but I’m glad for the time I had to work on these things. I always felt like I was in an uphill battle and couldn’t enjoy the process so much as I was going through the difficulties of learning whilst balancing raising the boys.

This opportunity to contribute to Carry Forth Tradition will hopefully allow myself to heal; grow and be true.
