Arizona in the springtime by Cheryl
People underestimate the breathtaking and unusual locations in Arizona. USUALLY, they just think of the desert and heat in the summer (can be up to 120 degrees) or the mild climate in the winter. However, Arizona is a many-faceted jewel to be enjoyed year-round. It's a short drive to northern Arizona to escape the summer heat! I'm sharing photos of the Havasu Falls area, and yes the water is REALLY that color! Beauty should be shared at every turn in life. It keeps our hearts, minds, and souls well fed!
Arizona is a 'wild' place. I mean that in the best way! A few days ago at the barn, my son and I watched as a bobcat walked through the stable area. One night when I was still in the military I went out after my shift (11PM) to check on my horse. Almost all horses here in Arizona have stalls with outdoor runs attached to them. She was outside and I noticed she went completely still as did ALL the other horses. I stood next to her. They were all looking to their left, facing the same direction. Out of the dark, a mountain lion walked through the property. I was about 10-12 feet from her, she didn't look to either side of herself and just kept walking quietly until she had left the property. I also was hiking in the mountains near Sedona a few years ago and found a shaded flat rock up the mountain. I laid down to rest and fell asleep for about 30 minutes (not good to do alone in the wilderness). I woke up and there was a rather large lizard asleep on my stomach! I NEVER did that again as it could have easily been a rattlesnake!!! Needless to say I love Arizona!
A note I’d like to add -
Horses can hear a human heartbeat from 4 feet away. When in a herd they synchronize heartbeats, if one horse's heartbeat goes up they know to look for danger. There is certainly more to horses and their sensitivity than meets the eye! The following information (link below) adds some information about horses that most people don't think about. However, horses 'read' energy as much if NOT more than respond to smells and sounds. I've seen them around disabled, or terrified people respond by expressing different actions to actually calm the person.
